PAI FILMS & DISTRIBUTION is an independent film production company and festival distribution agency based in Lima (Peru) and Madrid (Spain). Founded in 2017 by Lorena Tulini and Dana Bonilla Brown, the company is dedicated to auteur cinema that moves across the shifting borders of fiction, non-fiction, and experimentation.
PAI’s editorial vision embraces daring, personal perspectives and films that engage in dialogue with memory, territory, emotion, and hybrid languages, connecting the intimate with the political and the poetic with the real. Rooted in close collaborations with Peruvian and Latin American filmmakers, our projects often become independent visual essays that sustain a firm commitment to critical, free cinema.
Our Team
Our team is comprised of strong and determined female professionals excelling in various fields, including directing, scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, producing, distribution, and cultural management. Our work have showcased at prestigious venues and events such as the Barbican Centre in London, Locarno Industry Academy for Latin America, and the first Muestra de Video Feminista de América Latina y el Caribe, among others.
